What's New on the Platform — June 3–20, 2026

Hey everyone! :waving_hand:

Big two weeks. We rebuilt the schedule board and the job page, added in-app calling and Face ID sign-in, tightened up finance visibility by role, and made the price book, estimates, and payments noticeably more powerful. On top of that — a lot of work on speed, responsiveness, and a more consistent experience across the whole app. Here are the highlights.

:rocket: TOP NEW FEATURES

Finance is visible to the people who need it. We added a dedicated financials:read permission: revenue and profit figures show up for owners and managers, while technicians and other non-finance roles get a cleaner, more focused view tailored to their work — on the dashboard, the schedule board, and the job card.

A fully redesigned schedule board. You can now drag a block’s edge to change a job’s duration, assign a job by dragging it into the right slot, and the week grid opens straight onto business hours (6:00 AM–8:00 PM). We added an overnight-shift expander, a collapsible day agenda (more room for the grid), and a “+N more” chip for dense clusters. The toolbar is now a single clean row.

A redesigned job page. Edit scalar fields inline, right where they are, open editing in a slide-over drawer instead of a multi-step wizard, see a dedicated Services & Materials breakdown, and pick the date/time from a calendar.

Calling and sign-in right inside the app (native). Real voice calls now run inside the app over WebRTC, sign in with Face ID / Touch ID with no password re-typing, and purchase your subscription in-app.

A noticeably more pleasant voice AI. The assistant now recognizes returning customers (name and address), with a new, more natural voice and lifelike pauses in the conversation. After a booking, it sends an SMS confirmation on its own, including the visit duration.

Flexible AI control. You can now turn the AI on and off at the company level and per contact. There’s an “assist” mode (the AI drafts a reply for you), and the moment a live person joins a conversation, the AI politely steps aside.

:dollar_banknote: PRICE BOOK, ESTIMATES & PAYMENTS

Price book. We added a category tree, editable product details (markup, unit, manufacturer, model, warranty), a vendor link on each item, and a single price resolver (price list → tier → volume). The item type (service/material) is selectable end-to-end, and an item’s price flows automatically into jobs and estimates.

Estimates & invoices. There’s now a selectable tax catalog and a configurable default tax rate. Line-item descriptions support multiple lines, the PDF shows name and description as separate columns, we added a branded letterhead to estimate and invoice PDFs, and an Edit action on the detail page.

Payments. Take payment on the spot via QR code (Apple/Google Pay), send a payment link by email, and optionally pass the card processing fee to the customer. We laid the groundwork for Stripe Terminal (Tap to Pay) and added payout history right in the app.

:compass: NAVIGATION & EASE OF USE

  • Territories — a nationwide Service Area picker: choose cities and areas instead of typing ZIP codes.
  • Reports and Inbox are now tabbed hubs (Overview / Custom Builder; SMS / Calls / Email) with state synced to the URL.
  • Cmd+K — a command palette with categories (Entities / AI / Navigation / Actions) and full keyboard navigation.
  • We brought role dashboards and list pages (customers, invoices, estimates, jobs, work orders, maintenance) to a single clean layout with a KPI row and filters.
  • Privacy: request account deletion right inside the app, and export your own data (GDPR).

:sparkles: QUALITY, SPEED & RELIABILITY

We spent much of this period making the platform faster, more responsive, and more predictable:

  • A responsive interface. Buttons and actions give instant, clear feedback, forms and modals fit neatly on any screen, long lists scroll smoothly, and save buttons always stay in view.
  • Reliable billing. We hardened subscriptions, upgrades, and payments — these flows are now steadier and more resilient to changes on the payment provider’s side.
  • Real data only. Dashboards, booking, and analytics reflect your business’s actual activity.
  • Clear messaging. The system tells you plainly what’s happening — at sign-in, on save, and in conversations, with no surprises.
  • Faster under the hood. We optimized database queries and background jobs on hot paths, so the UI responds even quicker.
  • Security. We strengthened sign-in (PKCE OAuth) and updated the platform’s dependencies.

Thanks for growing your business with us! This period shipped ~375 improvements and hundreds of refinements. If there’s something you’d like to see next, or you have ideas — drop a comment, we read every one. :raising_hands:
