Hey everyone!
These two weeks are special. We’re celebrating two big milestones at once: Exoserva is officially live in the Apple App Store
— and the timing lands right on America’s 250th birthday ![]()
. The platform built for the tradespeople and contractors who build this country with their own hands now lives right in your pocket — grab it straight from the App Store on iPhone and iPad.
Under the hood: over 900 updates in two weeks — 230 of them brand-new features. We’ve broken it all down by theme. Let’s go ![]()
TOP NEW FEATURES
1. Exoserva is now in the App Store
Our native iOS app passed Apple review and is available to everyone. The whole platform — jobs, scheduling, invoices, calls, the AI receptionist — runs as a full app on iPhone and iPad. Installs in seconds, same login.
2. One unified Inbox — every conversation in one place
We completely rebuilt messaging into one clean three-pane Inbox: your conversation list, the thread itself, and a customer card with history, notes, and AI suggestions — all on one screen.
- One persistent conversation per customer (just like a messenger) — no more duplicate threads
- New Unread and Unanswered filters (customer spoke last, you haven’t replied yet)
- Pin important conversations to the top of the list
- Outbound messages now show the real name of the teammate who replied
- Everything updates live, no refresh; deep links open right inside the new Inbox
3. A free website for your business
Say hello to your premium public contractor page at /pro/your-brand — essentially a ready-made website instead of a separate, expensive landing page. Control the visibility of each service, turn on price display, and pull in your own brand fonts and colors. Share the link — customers see you, your services, and can book on the spot.
4. A new “Prospects” section
A dedicated space for people who aren’t customers yet: automatic lead scoring, KPIs, and “attention signals” (who’s due for a call-back), plus columns with their estimates. No more losing a hot lead.
5. Your AI receptionist now remembers the customer
The AI that answers your calls and texts just got genuinely up to speed: before it responds, it pulls up relevant customer history — past jobs, prior conversations, service history — and answers with full context. Personal data stays protected: the customer’s name never goes to the model.
6. AI Decision Layer — preview
(early access) We’ve launched the foundation of something we’ve been building toward for a while: the AI watches your business and proposes actions on its own (like reminding a customer or scheduling a follow-up), and you approve with one tap — then it acts. With built-in safeguards: a kill-switch, a budget cap, and customer consent before any outreach. We’re rolling it out carefully, on request.
7. Team Chat
An internal chat for your crew: channels, threads, a composer, and unread badges right in the menu. Talk to your team without leaving the platform. (Rolling out gradually.)
8. Online booking that actually works ![]()
- Real SMS reminders to customers (they used to be a stub)
- Fixed existing-customer lookup during booking
- Bookings now show up in the Inbox, and you can download an .ics file for Apple Calendar / Outlook
ESTIMATES, INVOICES, TAXES & PAYMENTS
A huge block of work on everything money-related:
Branded PDFs and emails
- One unified branded PDF engine for estimates and invoices — consistent look, your logo, and your brand colors in the letterhead
- In-app PDF preview (for both estimates and invoices) — before you send
- Customer estimate and invoice emails now share one branded design
- Cleaned up “leaked” markdown from line-item descriptions in PDFs
Flexible taxes and fees
- A tax & fee catalog scoped to Labor or Material
- A per-line “Taxable” toggle on every estimate/invoice line — end-to-end, with a live recalc
- Default rates per line-item type
- Tax-exempt customers — tax zeroes out automatically
- The “No tax” option is always within reach; the PDF tax-row name comes from your catalog
Clarity and control
- A visual status stepper on estimates and invoices — see the stage at a glance
- “Show service address” and “Show technician” toggles for the PDF
- The customer’s phone now shows on the estimate and in the PDF
- Truthful per-channel Send feedback — see whether it actually landed via SMS or email
- Refund and Send now sit behind a confirm dialog — fewer accidental taps
- Field roles (technician/dispatcher/supervisor) can now see the customer-facing price on a job
Signup and Price Book
- Pay right at signup via Stripe Checkout + a plan recommender at checkout
- The setup fee is now an opt-in add-on, not a mandatory line
- A major Price Book repair: categories, CSV upload, and Labor/Material schemas
CALLS, MESSAGING & LEADS
- The voice AI recognizes unknown callers: it asks for their name, reads it back, and saves the contact to your Inbox; instead of a placeholder, you see the number
- An outbound caller-ID selector — with a “sticky” default per customer
- Thumbtack integration is now production-ready end to end: photos/videos and “service details” from leads flow into chat, and outbound messages go out via short links
- Video in chat (mp4/mov/webm) with an inline player
- Sign in with Microsoft (corporate accounts)
- Per-conversation Reply-To on outbound email, handling of inbound email replies, and a Vendors tab in the Inbox
SCHEDULING, SERVICE AREAS & DISPATCH
- Service areas on the map: draw radius coverage circles, set a daily job cap, routing priority, and technician assignments — all from one single list
- A skills catalog for technicians instead of free text, plus the option to add your own top-level industry
LOOK & FEEL: LIGHT THEME + MOBILE
Light theme rolled out across dozens of screens — customers, properties, invoices, estimates, calls, dispatch, reports, settings, and public pages. All crisp in light mode too- A Compact mode with real density tokens, plus a remembered collapsed sidebar
Hundreds of mobile refinements: buttons bumped up to comfortable 44px targets, everything fits even at 320px, modals open full-screen with a “sticky” action bar, emoji replaced with crisp vector icons, and clipped tables turned into tidy cards. We also cleaned up landscape orientation.
SECURITY & TRUST
- Per-device logout: “Log out” ends only the current device’s session, plus a new Active Devices screen to revoke any session
- Two-factor auth (2FA) — each user enables it themselves; backup codes regenerate in one place
- Hardened protection for the admin panel and an immutable audit log of security-settings changes
- Extra database-level data isolation (RLS)
- Bring your own AI key (BYOK) — store your own LLM key per tenant
- Removed unverified claims from public pages — we only say what’s true about ourselves
LANGUAGES
- A big translation update: ~80 improvements across 10 languages, filling gaps and re-translating machine-translated junk in Portuguese, Vietnamese, and Italian
- A new stale-translation tracking system so text never drifts apart between languages
QUALITY, SPEED & RELIABILITY
- Rate limits no longer get in the way of scrolling lists on your phone
- Tidied up metrics reporting and closed dozens of small bugs across every screen
- Strengthened test and deploy stability — so new features reach you faster and without hiccups
All told: over 900 updates in two weeks, including 230 brand-new features — all timed to our App Store launch and to the 250th birthday of the country we’re building this for. ![]()
