Jobs: Review Status and Ownership Before You Act
Question: How do I find a job, understand its stage, and avoid changing the wrong record?
The Jobs page provides status tabs, search, date and technician filters, a tabular job list, and New Job. Use filters to narrow the list before opening or changing anything.
Find the right job safely
- Open Jobs from the left menu.
- Start with a status tab such as Scheduled, On My Way, In Progress, Completed, Pending, Cancelled, or Draft.
- Narrow further with the Date range and Technician filters.
- Use search only with an approved identifier. Do not paste a customer name, address, or phone number into public chats, screenshots, or external tools.
- Confirm the job number, status, owner, scheduled time, and scope before you take any action.
Understand the job list
The table separates key information into columns, including job number, status, customer, title, technician, schedule, amount, and address. Treat the list as operational context:
- A status is a workflow signal, not proof that work was completed.
- A price or amount is not a customer authorization by itself.
- A listed technician is not proof they accepted the work.
- An address is private operational data.
Create or update with care
- Use New Job only after the customer, scope, schedule, and responsible owner are verified.
- Make one deliberate status update at a time.
- Stop and escalate if a change affects safety, price, payment, customer commitment, or an unclear scope.
- Do not use a job record as a place for passwords, tokens, private dispute material, or unrelated personal notes.
Final check
- Correct job selected.
- Current status understood.
- A human owns the next action.
- Customer commitment confirmed through the approved channel.
- No private data copied outside the platform.
Limitations
A job record helps coordinate work, but it does not independently verify scope, authorization, payment, arrival, or completion. Keep a human review point for consequential changes.
