On October 26, Exoserva turns two.
For us, this story began with the daily work of running a service business. Customers call and text, crews head out to jobs, and someone has to prepare proposals, agree on changes, manage the schedule, and collect payment.
We worked inside those processes ourselves. We knew how much attention even a small job takes, and how much depends on what happens between the first inquiry and the completed work.
That experience is where Exoserva began.
Every Job Involves More Than the Work on Site
The customer sees the result: a door installed, a repair completed, a problem solved.
The business owner also sees everything it took to get there. Answer the inquiry. Understand the details. Prepare an estimate. Agree on a time. Give the person doing the work the information they need. Account for changes. Send the invoice and check the payment.
Every step takes time and responsibility. As the number of jobs grows, keeping everything in your head gets harder. A lost agreement or an unanswered message can cost the company both work and a customer’s trust.
We started creating Exoserva because we wanted to organize our own company better. We needed a system that understood that sequence and helped carry an inquiry through to a result.
Our Own Work Became the Starting Point
Our experience running a service business shapes how we see the product.
An estimate needs to be clear: the customer should understand what they are paying for and what the work includes. A schedule needs to support delivering on the time you promised. A job record needs to give the technician enough information to arrive prepared. A report needs numbers the owner can use to make decisions.
Behind each of those requirements is an ordinary situation at work. Those are the situations we start with when deciding what to improve next.
Over two years, Exoserva has grown from an internal tool into a platform we are developing for other service businesses. Our own experience remains our point of reference.
More Capacity for the Owner and the Team
In a service company, the owner often becomes the person everything passes through: a difficult customer conversation, a pricing decision, a schedule change, an employee’s question, a payment check.
As the business grows, that workload grows with it.
We want Exoserva to help the team handle more of the daily work independently, while keeping the owner informed and in control of important decisions.
A teammate should be able to pick up a customer conversation knowing what was already agreed. A technician should see the details they need for the job. Agreed terms should carry through to the invoice. The owner should know where their involvement is needed.
That is also the role we give AI: help handle inquiries, gather information, and perform permitted actions within the company’s rules. Decisions that affect commitments to customers should remain under clear business control.
Two Years In, the Work Continues
We know that service businesses operate differently. Different trades, teams, customers, and ways of organizing the work. Our own experience gave us a starting point; conversations with other owners help us see more broadly.
That is why specific stories matter so much to us. Where an inquiry gets lost. Why an employee has to ask again. What slows down a proposal. At what point the owner has to step in manually once more.
Those stories shape where Exoserva goes next.
Thank you to everyone who shares their experience, tries the platform, and tells us directly what works well and what still needs work.
Two years ago, we started solving the problems of our own company. Today, we continue that work alongside people who take responsibility every day for their customers, their employees, and the results of their business.
Happy birthday, Exoserva.
